NAMBC FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY

Our Church Mission Statement is "Showing the Love of God by Loving You", which comes from the scripture Proverbs 3:16.
​
The Food Pantry objective comes from the passage of scriptures from the Apostle John 21: 15-17, where Jesus told Simon Peter "Feed My Sheep";. We try to feed the physical body as well as the spiritual soul.

The New Antioch M. B Church Food Pantry is in partnership with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to create a Mobile Market to help combat barriers that individuals and families may face when trying to get access to fresh, seasonal and nutritious foods. The New Antioch M.B. Church food pantry agrees that it will not engage in discrimination, in the provision of service against any person because of race, color, citizenship, religion, sex, nation origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation including gender identity.
We also receive a monetary amount from the Illinois Baptist State Association (Global Hunger Ministry).

CONFUSED ABOUT BEST BY AND SELL BUY DATES?
Dates on food packaging labels can be confusing. There are “Best By” dates, “Sell By” dates, “Use By” dates, and “Expiration” dates.
It is important to know what these label dates do and don’t mean before throwing away food you receive at a pantry or distribution event.
“Best By”, “Sell By” and “Expiration” dates don’t mean food is unsafe to eat after the date listed on the package. (Infant formula is one notable exception that MUST be used BEFORE the date on the package.)
