What is the purpose of the lesson

Sermon Scripture: Mark 14:32-41
Point #1: Be vigilant against temptation. Your strength is in the Lord. Your Strength is in your study. Your strength is in your prayer. Your strength is in your Praise.
1st Corinthians 10:13 teaches us There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Point #2: Our failures do not have to be our demise.
1 John 1:9 tells us If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Point #3: Study the word of God, looking for the purpose in the lesson.
In 2 Timothy 2:15, it says to Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Point #4: If you fail, Jesus will be there to pick you up.
Psalms 37:23-24 tells us the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
